About this Service
Thorpe Bay smart access control and intercom work targets seaside residences and estuary homes where wind and salt spray are constant factors. Systems combine weatherproof video intercoms, keypad/fob access and mobile control designed for family properties along Eastern Esplanade and Warwick Road.
Coastal gales and sandy ground mean post foundations are set deeper and control enclosures are mounted above likely flood levels. Installations use IP66‑rated motors and stainless fixings, wind‑resistant gate frames, and sealed conduit for power and Cat6 PoE camera feeds to reduce corrosion and motor strain.
Outcome is remote gate control and clearer visitor communication during storms, but expect periodic maintenance and potential sacrificial component replacement due to sea‑air exposure. A site visit will confirm foundation depth and whether 4G failover is needed for reliable remote access.
