What We Do
Electric Gate Installation Services
From new gate supply and fitting to automation retrofits, access control, and ongoing servicing.
Aluminium Electric Gates
Aluminium does not rust, which matters on Essex driveways exposed to coastal weather. We arrange full supply-and-fit covering gate leaves, posts, opener, remote fob, safety sensors, and Part P compliant wiring, in swing or sliding configuration to suit your entrance.
Automated Sliding Gates
Where swing clearance is limited or a driveway opens directly onto a road, a sliding gate is the practical choice. We arrange a site survey covering opening width, run-back space, gate weight, and ground conditions before specifying the motor, track, and control panel.
Automated Swing Gates
Automating a swing gate starts with checking whether the existing gate, posts, and hinges can carry a motor. We arrange an assessment covering gate weight, hinge load, and swing clearance, then specify a compatible opener and controller wired to BS EN 12453 and BS EN 12445 standards.
Bespoke Gate Design & Manufacture
Non-standard entrance widths, brick pillars, and boundary walls are common on Rayleigh properties and often rule out off-the-shelf gates. We arrange a site survey and measure-up, then connect you with fabricators who build the gate leaf, frame, and posts to your opening, with hinge placement specified for automation from the outset.
Cantilever Gate Systems
A cantilever gate clears the ground entirely, making it the right choice where a ground track would be impractical. We arrange installations covering roller assemblies, counterbalance tail sizing, support post footings to the required depth, and a gate leaf extending 50% beyond the clear opening to balance correctly.
Electric Gate Installation
Gate type, sliding, swing, or cantilever, is confirmed at survey stage based on your opening width, slope, and side space. Groundworks, cable ducting, and 18th Edition wiring are included in the same quote, not added later.
Electric Gate Repair & Emergency Callouts
A gate stuck open or closed needs a fast diagnosis, not a parts order and a second visit. We arrange callouts where the installer checks power supply, motor, control panel, limit switches, and sensor alignment on the first visit, carrying common replacement parts to restore access where possible the same day.
Gate Automation Retrofitting
Replacing a gate you want to keep is rarely necessary. We arrange an inspection of the gate leaf, posts, and hinges to confirm suitability, then fit a swing or sliding motor, control box, photocell sensors, and remote access, with all wiring carried out to BS 7671 and a minimum of 100 test cycles completed before sign-off.
Preventative Maintenance & Servicing
A gate that opens and closes without obvious problems can still have worn drive components, misaligned sensors, or closing forces outside BS EN 12453 limits. We arrange a service visit that inspects, lubricates, and adjusts every moving part, then tests safety devices before issuing a service record.
Smart Access Control & Intercoms
An intercom or access control system is only useful if it integrates cleanly with the gate’s control panel. We arrange installation of audio or video intercoms, keypads, and remote fobs, with a compatibility check on your existing opener and a power supply and signal assessment before any hardware is specified.
Wooden & Timber Electric Gates
Wooden gates move with the weather, swelling, sticking, and sagging if the motor and hinge setup cannot handle the load. We arrange a survey that checks timber condition, post stability, and swing clearance, then specifies a motor and treated hardwood leaf combination built for Essex’s damp climate.
Wrought Iron & Metal Gates
Off-the-shelf gates rarely suit the varied opening widths found on Rayleigh driveways. We arrange supply and installation of powder-coated steel or wrought iron style gates sized to your exact opening, with post setting, hinge alignment, and latch hardware included in the scope.
Tell Us About Your Entrance
We arrange a local gate installer to survey your entrance, specify the right system, and quote groundwork and wiring as part of the same scope.
